Effective today, TCWUD has closed the office to the public in order to reduce the risk of spreading the COVID-19 virus.
As a public utility that has the best interest of our water users in mind, we have decided that the best course of action to reduce the risk to staff and our customers and the family of our staff and customers is to close our office to walk in traffic as the state analyzes what the next steps should be to combat the spread of this virus. This action may seem to some to be an overreaction, but we believe it appropriate given the current level of uncertainty concerning the spread of the virus in South Dakota.
The TCWUD Office staff will be on site to answer calls during normal business hours, and our operators will remain available to respond to any emergencies that may arise.
You can still utilize the drop box to pay bills at the office or go online to www.trippcountywater.com to pay your bill on line using debit/credit card or echeck. Call our office if you need to discuss getting a water application or other TCWUD business and we will help you via the mail, email or by appointment.
Notice of future meetings of the board of directors will address how the public may access and participate in the meeting.
We thank you for your understanding and help during this time.
